New in version 1.1 is a Log Editor, so you can edit recorded time retroactively- did some work away from your Mac? Just use the Log Editor to add a new time block for the work done. Did you leave Manhour running while doing something not work-related? Subtract away the time you don’t want to bill for.
The Log Editor isn’t just about editing though- it completely replaces the old Log Viewer, giving much greater flexibility in how you view your recorded and billable time, rates and fees. View individual time blocks, or compile everything into daily totals. Sort and order tabular log records as you like- the Log Editor takes note of your presentation configuration and uses it when generating well-formatted reports, for printing or saving to PDF and plain text. Need to export your logs for invoicing or accounting purposes? Manhour’s Log Editor can also save in CVS format- a widely-supported, portable plain text format understood by most spreadsheets and many other applications.
Version 1.0 already supported a very flexible rate structure and automated, rules-based rate selection. We’re psyched about Manhour 1.1’s new log editing functionality… we think it brings Manhour that much closer to being the most flexible time-tracking / time-billing app on the Mac, at any price.

We’re very pleased to announce the launch of our new time-billing, automated-rate-selecting, song-and-dancing, OS X Leopard-only app!
Manhour features a flexible rate structure: it lets you specify what hourly rates should apply during certain time intervals- so you could charge your regular base hourly rate during office hours, then automatically apply overtime rates for those late night stints… or use a different rate for weekends and holidays.
If you’re a photographer or someone else who works in a ’seasonal’ industry, where the value of your time rises and dips as demand for your work shifts throughout the year (think wedding season, for instance), use Manhour to automatically track what rate to use when calculating your fee.
You setup Rate Categories, create Projects you want to time-bill for, then let Manhour do the work of recording billable hours (or minutes.. or seconds…. Manhour lets you set your own billing block size… bill per full half hour… or every 3 seconds… it’s your call) and figuring out your fee for you. Hit the ‘Start’ button when you start work… and ‘Pause’ when you stop. It’s that simple.
You can even hide Manhour’s main window and control recording from the status menu bar. We wanted Manhour to complement your workflow as unobtrusively as possible. It doesn’t try to do too much, doesn’t force you to fill in more details than you need to track your time and fees… it just quietly reckons with time & money while you work, so you spend your time on billable hours, doing great work.

Hullo! It’s smee again!
Today marks a new day for our site! After some dusting off and a little bit more sparkle, we’re finally ready to introduce Aelgo into the world again. It’s been given a more gummy makeover while it’s innards have been completely retooled for use with Wordpress.
In other news, as of today, Aelgo is a Mac-exclusive dev studio. We love the Mac and we love the incredible development tools Apple has provided for Mac developers. We have seen the future… and it is Cocoa-colored.
